Protect Children and Families in the State Budget!
Critical ECE funding is at stake. The governor just introduced his revised May budget. He, along with the state legislature, will continue to work on a final budget to be submitted and signed by mid-June. We need to make sure that critical funding, exemptions and waivers stay in place!
Keep exemptions in place!
Child care provider reimbursement should be based on enrollment rather than attendance. Providers have no control over the attendance of each family and should not suffer a financial hardship due to this being out of their control.
Funding to connect families to care!
Connecting children & families with the subsidies and services they need is key. Funding goes a long way for organizations to connect families with they care they need.
Continue family fee waivers!
The May Revise extends the family fee waiver through September, but families need more relief. These waivers reduce the burden on children, families & providers and must be extended at least through the next fiscal year.
